We currently have a vacancy for an Intermediate .Net developer with a minimum of three years experience who can demonstrate their prowess in the development of web and windows applications and who are competent in the use of SQL server. Our requirements are:

MINIMUM 3 years in a commercial working environment
Experience in VB.Net, ASP.Net, Javascript, databases (esp SQL Server). W3C HTML/CSS compliant experience a distinct advantage.
Mobile application development will be looked on favourably.
Roles and responsibilities will include
Design and development of websites and web applications
Design and development of Windows applications
Maintenance of web and windows applications
User support on all applications
Web application implementation and training
Windows application implementation and training
Data management
Some client liaison
Appointee must be prepared to travel locally and a driving license is essential.
Remuneration commensurate with experience
Starting Early January 2012
Appointee will be located in either the Quartex technologies Durban or Pietermaritzburg offices
  • MINIMUM 3 years in a commercial working environment

We are also seeking graphic or web site designers who are able to design and build quality web sites with little supervision. A demonstrable understanding of HTML, CSS and Flash are pre-requisites. Competance in SEO would be advantageous. Remuneration will depend on the particular project as we have varied clients and expectations. These website projects occur on an ad hoc basis, so we are ideally looking for a skilled freelancer. Again, we would like someone in the Pietermaritzburg area, but this is not essential.
