Mapexchange Enterprise

MAPexchange, an open source stack of applications, is the foundation of the majority of our spatial applications. MAPexchange provides all the tools required for the editing, sharing and display of spatial information, and consists of a combination of:

  • MapServer
  • OpenLayers
  • TileCache
  • Featureserver
  • supported by the spatial database PostgreSql PostGIS.

This allows us to provide a complete mapping solution based upon either a Web Mapping Service (WMS) or Web Feature Service (WFS). A WFS enables end user interaction with the spatial data, and the ability to add and delete spatial features directly through the mapping interface.

Mapexchange enterprise We provide the MAPexchange services either through a custom installation of the programme suite on your infrastructure (MAPexhange Enterprise) or from our own hosting environment (MAPexhange API).

With MAPexchange Enterprise we are able to provide you with a complete server solution "out the box" with MAPexchange setup and configured on the operating system of your choice (Linux or Windows).

You can either provide us with the hardware, or choose from a list of server options available (ranging from dedicated servers to high-end desktop machines).

Our MAPexchange Enterprise offering can be tailored to particular requirements but the salient features are:

  • No licensing fees for the software
  • Ongoing support
  • Inclusion of all API features enabling the building and extending of in house applications
  • High level of technical support through the world wide community of users and developers
