Biodiversity Plan for EKZNW

QuarteX involved in the development of a environmental plan for future planing in the Ngwagwane catchment in the Sisonke district municipality

QuarteX are involved in the establishment of a biodiversity conservation plan for the Ngwagwane catchment in the Sisonke district municipality. This area is important from a conservation point of view, due to the abundance of important natural forest and wetland areas. With the increase in commercial forestry and rural settlement in the area, a need was identified to produce a template for future planning in the area. This analysis will be used to inform private and public entities in all future development planning. In addition to this, areas of potential environmental tourism will be identified, thereby enabling the local communities as well as providing solutions for the conservation of the area.
