Enablis competition winner

Enablis LaunchPad 2009 WinnerThe winners of the 2009 FNB Enablis Seda Business LaunchPad competition were announced recently and Paul Storry, a director of Quartex technologies, is the winner of the ICT, business expansion category.

The competition is South Africa's largest mall business completion and is open to any South African citizen or permanent resident. Entrants submit business plans for either new business start ups or business expansion in any of ten industry sectors. In this year's competition, the 2500 odd submitted plans where whittled down to 100 finalists who presented their plans to industry specific judging panels in mid November.
Enablis is an entrepreneur development organisation and, together with FNB and SEDA, has now run this competition successfully for five years.
Although there are some physical prizes presented to the winners by the Enablis sponsors, the main benefits to the winners are:  firstly that an independent panel of experts has identified their business idea as viable (and worth funding) and, secondly fast track access to that funding is provided if required.
As a result, Quartex Technologies will be launching a new consumer focussed product based on MAPexchange early in 2010.
